In “the A-team” a 18 year old boy used his appearance at a homeless shelter. Then, he used the opportunity to talk with the audience and came with a bunch of stories in the evening to go home. In the second week of December the successful newcomer made it finally also in the German charts. The highest placing was week of 9th place in the last February 2012, exactly six years ago.

So, Ed Sheeren can look back on a successful debut single: was a top 10 hit in Australia, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Norway, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. As we now know it was just the beginning of a sensational career with one of his most beautiful songs, “the A team”.
